Q:
The Zürich Tourbillion GM-901-1. Is one of the most beautiful pieces I’ve seen. I’ve looked through most of the online catalog. This one being a Tourbillion. I would assume it’s an automatic. So I checked the specs and it says something along the lines of “In-house mechanic with 20 Jewels.” While I have a decent collection I’m far from an expert. So if you could explain to me the difference between the usual automatic or mechanical and this “In-house mechanic” and why this one is 20 times more valuable. Thank you very much. My first Tufina was a give from my wife still works great. I love the craftsmanship.

Hello Jim,
it does warm our hearts to hear of a returning customer. Thank you for supporting our family business.
Zürich Tourbillon has a much more complicated tourbillon than the Geneva Tourbillon, which although an automatic is a bit simpler. The quality parts as well used on the Zürich are a bit better. And not to mention that making a skeleton tourbillon is far harder than a nonskeleton tourbillon. At least for our manufacturer.
